**Spoiler Alert for Downton Abbey fans.**

Mystery #1
Why would anyone, ever, under any circumstances choose pancakes over waffles?

Waffles are crisp & have their own tiny syrup ditches that cradle the sweet syrup, honey, chocolate, fruit sauce, or whatever you prefer to pour over the top of them. Personally, I’m a honey & fruit topped waffle kind of lady. Pancakes, on the other hand, remind me of syrup filled sponges.
Mystery #2
Why am I fascinated with Ke$sha & belt out her lyrics every time she comes on the radio?

I don’t own one of Ke$sha’s albums & would be embarrassed to have one in my iTunes collection. And, yes, I know that this auto-tuned young lady does not possess the vocal skills of others. Nevertheless, I shamelessly get excited when I hear her come on the radio. Oh well, I suppose “We R Who We R.”
Mystery #3

Downton Abbey is one of those television shows that airs in an unusual way for its viewing audience. It airs on BBC for those across the pond from the United States . Several months later it airs in the United States on PBS . In short, American viewers are always one season behind. Unfortunately this creates a turn of events that often leads to spoilers for Downton’s American viewers. For example, even though I haven’t even watched all of season three in its entirety, I am fully aware that the Dan Stevens, who plays Matthew Crawley, will be leaving the show.
Please oh please, do not let this be true!
Although at first appearance it doesn't seem like the middle-class lawyer, Matthew, will fit in with the aristocratic Crawley family. Matthew, slowly but surely, wins over the hearts of the entire family. Matthew Crawley is a hardworking, honest, and noble man; he’s a Mr. Mister.
I understand that Dan Stevens wants to take time to work on other projects and probably doesn’t want to be type-cast as Matthew Crawley for the rest of his acting career. After all, poor Jaleel White will probably always be known as Urkel.

Nevertheless, my heart is troubled because I can only imagine that Matthew Crawley will die a tragic death in order to be removed from the show. There’s no way that Matthew will abandon the Crawley family or Downton, due to his character & integrity. This leaves the writers with the option of causing him to go mad or killing him off. Please note that I don’t really know how Matthew Crawley will leave the show because I’m avoiding any and all articles that might reveal his outcome.
Now, please excuse me, I must retreat to a dark space where I may cover myself in sackcloth and ashes in order to mourn his premature death properly.

Oh my word, I'm so out of the cool loop, in so many ways these days! This, being one of them. I've never seen Downtown Abbey. Ever.! Unbelievable huh. Maybe I should watch it too :). Where do you find it on?
ReplyDeleteIt's a fantastic show! It's well written, acted, and designed. I believe it airs on PBS in the U.S. We watched season 1 on Netflix and then purchased season 2 via Amazon Prime to view on our Roku. Soon, we'll be getting season 3.
